Deep into the night

I look for a refreshing sight

gazing at the dark sky

wishing to find answers in the stars.

Deep into the night

came a gush of cold wind

I hugged myself in a wrap

as tears slowly dropped.

Deep into the night

a sudden downpour came

barefoot, I walked outside

rain came pouring down.

Deep into the night

the rain stopped

I walked and walked

a tree I came across

Deep into the night

the wind simmered down

weariness came over me

I sat under the tree

Deep into the night

the sky opened up

stars came out again

I stayed there and slept.
